Repurposed Textiles Workshop

Come get creative and give your pre-loved textiles another purpose for an introduction to some different techniques.

DETAILS

What do you do with your old clothes, sheets and other textiles? Op shops are overflowing and often now rejecting unwanted textiles and approximately 92 million tons of clothing ends up in landfill every year!  It's now the perfect time to come get creative and give your pre-loved textiles another purpose. Wool is also great to use also.

  • Introductory techniques such as weaving, amish knot rug and big crocheting will be shown to create a small rag rug or placemat or wall hanging. Bookmarks are fun to weave out of wool remnants.

  • Simple wooden frame hand looms will be provided. Bring your pre loved clothing/textiles including wool and a project in mind.

  • Course Fee $180

  • Duration 3 x 3 hour slots

  • Dates and Times confirmed once registered
